MARRIAGE SERVICES
From helping you understand the marriage-license process to performing your ceremony and completing the required paperwork, BrightPoint keeps the official part simple, because planning a wedding already comes with enough decisions.
No commitment required · Remote planning available
We help you understand how to apply for your marriage license, what information to prepare, and what to bring before the ceremony.
Planning something intimate, simple, or wonderfully low-key? An authorized BrightPoint officiant can perform your ceremony and sign the marriage license.
After the ceremony, we complete the officiant section and handle the required return of the original marriage license to the appropriate county office. In California, the officiant is generally responsible for returning it within 10 days.

You do not need a ballroom, a twelve-tier cake, or a seating chart that requires advanced mathematics.
BrightPoint can perform a simple ceremony at an agreed-upon location. Consultations and preparation can be handled remotely, so you only need to meet in person when legally required for the ceremony.
No physical office visit required.
Before your ceremony, you will need:
A valid marriage license
Current government-issued identification
A witness when required by the license
The ceremony date and location
California marriage licenses are generally valid for 90 days after issuance. Public licenses require one witness signature, while confidential licenses do not.

Tell us when and where you would like to get married, and BrightPoint will help you understand the next steps.
Marriage-license requirements and remote options vary by county and jurisdiction. BrightPoint does not issue marriage licenses or certified marriage certificates; those are issued and recorded by the appropriate government office.
